Paste the license code you were given. This one step needs an internet connection to confirm — everything else about this app, before and after, works fully offline.
Activation needed
This station isn't activated yet
Whoever set up this station on the Windows PC needs to enter a license code there directly — activation isn't done from a phone or Mac. Once it's done, everyone connected here, including this device, will be ready automatically.
One-time setup — permanent
Name this station
A short, permanent name for this physical desk — e.g. "Bilik Doktor 2" or "Front Desk". This can't be changed later, since it's also what keeps this station's join link and QR code stable across restarts and updates. Take a moment to get it right.
⚠️ This station cannot currently protect chat history at rest — new messages, DMs, and files are not being saved until this is fixed (never saved unprotected). A setup problem, not something anyone did. An admin should check the diagnostic log or contact support.
⚠️ Encryption on this station is active, but a security key file's permissions couldn't be restricted — it may be readable by other accounts on this computer. An admin should check the diagnostic log or contact support.

⚠️ Add to Home Screen first, before setting up or restoring your identity below. Tap the Share icon, then "Add to Home Screen" — otherwise this browser tab and the home screen icon end up as two separate devices, and you'll need to do this again once you actually open the installed icon.
New secure address
Restore your Station Chat identity
This is a new secure address for this station. Restore your existing identity to keep your chats and contacts connected to this device.
One-time setup
What's your name?
This is how your messages will be labelled for everyone on the network — e.g. your name, or a desk/room like "Front Desk" or "Room 2". You'll only be asked once on this device.
Saved to this device only. Clearing browser data will ask again.
Have a backup identity? Restore it
Add to Home Screen first
Four quick steps — this makes sure your restored identity ends up somewhere that can actually receive notifications.
1
Tap the Share icon in your browser's toolbar
2
Tap "Add to Home Screen" in the list that appears
3
Close this tab, then open Station Chat from the new icon — not from Safari
4
From there, tap Restore again to bring back your identity
No existing network found
This station hasn't found any other Station Chat stations on this network yet. If your organization already has one running, it may just be slow to discover — waiting is always safe. Only confirm this if you're sure no other station exists yet.

Activating or requesting a plan is done from the Windows station directly, not from this device.
Back Up Your Chat Identity
Save a recovery copy so you can restore the same identity if this device is reset or replaced. Restore it when joining from another station to get back your name and private conversations — you won't be treated as a new device.
Full chat with notifications, encryption and voice messages. On iPhone, add Station Chat to your Home Screen to enable notifications.
On a computer: Copy this address into your browser. To install Station Chat as an app, look for the install option in your browser's menu or address bar.

Scan to join
Connects directly over the organization's Wi-Fi. Works without internet, but notifications and some secure features are unavailable. Usually reconnects automatically if the station's address changes.
Point your phone's camera at the code. It opens in whichever browser your phone uses by default — for the full app-like experience, iPhones need Safari and Android phones need Chrome.
Push notification retention
How long a disconnected phone keeps receiving push notifications for messages relayed through another station. This is an organization-wide setting — changing it here updates every station.
Admin PIN required
Manage which stations can accept new devices, and which stations are part of this organization's network.
Station access
Two separate controls per station, kept deliberately apart below: allowing new devices to join only stops brand-new people from onboarding through that station's QR or link — anyone already connected before, anywhere, still gets in normally, and nobody currently connected is disconnected by this. Network access is different and far more serious — it's whether that station itself can be part of the organization's mesh at all; turning it off disconnects that station immediately.
A PC installing Station Chat for the first time starts fully locked — no sign-ins, no network access — until reviewed below. Applies organization-wide, to every station. Never affects a station already set up before this is turned on.
Manually connect to a station
For a station that automatic discovery genuinely can't find — most often a WiFi extender putting it on a different address range entirely. If you know that station's IP address (shown in its own Station Access screen, or on its join QR page), add it here — this station will keep trying to reach it from now on, including after a restart.
Diagnostic log
View this station's own log, or every station currently reachable on the network, combined into one.
Diagnostic log
Times shown here are this device's own local time. Copied or downloaded logs keep their original UTC timestamps, for comparing accurately against another station's log.
Help
How this works
Everyday chat
React to a message — tap the small face icon next to any message's timestamp.
Reply to a specific message — tap the reply icon; your reply shows a quote of the original.
Mention someone — type @ followed by their name, or use the @ option in the + menu.
Emoji — tap the + next to the message box, then the smiley icon. Stays open so you can pick several in a row.
Pin an announcement — tap the pin icon on a message to feature it at the top for everyone.
Voice & files
Voice message — hold the microphone button and speak. Release to send.
Cancel a recording — while holding, slide left.
Hands-free recording — while holding, slide up to lock it, then keep talking without holding the button. Tap "Stop & send" when you're done.
Share a file or photo — tap the paperclip icon next to the message box.
Staying in touch
Private message — tap anyone in the stations list to open a one-on-one thread.
Get someone's attention — use "Wave" in the + menu; it plays a sound and flashes on their screen.
Set your status — tap one of the quick chips above the message box (Available, In a meeting, etc.).
Dark / starry mode — the moon icon in the header.
If something's not working
Your usual station is unreachable — if you saved an identity backup (Account → Back up my identity), use "Already used this app before?" on any other station's join screen to get back in as yourself, not a stranger. If you haven't saved one yet, do it now while everything's working — it takes a few seconds.
"This station currently isn't accepting new sign-ins" — an admin has deliberately closed that specific station to brand-new people. If you've used this app before at another station, that one will still work for you.
Messages aren't sending — check the connection indicator in the header; the app queues what you type and sends it automatically once reconnected, so nothing is lost.
Admin Help
What each admin control does
Admin PIN
Protects every admin action in the app — removing or re-admitting someone from the roster, changing station access, approving a new station, adjusting push retention, and updating branding all require it.
Set it up the first time from Account → Admin PIN. Change it from the same place — you'll need the current PIN to set a new one.
How a brand-new station's first PIN is treated: when a station sets a PIN for the very first time (including confirming itself as the first station on a new network), that PIN is only ever a starting guess, not a locked-in answer. If it turns out another station already has a real, deliberately-set PIN, that one always wins and this station adopts it instead. Once someone deliberately changes the PIN using the current one, that becomes the network's real, standing PIN — nothing overrides it except another deliberate change.
Station Access
Reached from Invite → Manage Station access (PIN required). Two separate controls per station:
Allow new sign-ins — stops brand-new people from joining through that specific station's QR or link. Anyone already connected before, anywhere, is unaffected.
Network access — far more serious: whether that station is part of the organization's network at all. Turning it off disconnects that station immediately.
Require approval for brand-new stations — when on, any PC installing this app for the first time starts fully locked (no sign-ins, no network access) until an admin reviews and approves it here. Never affects a station already set up before this was turned on.
While this is on, a new station finishing enrollment (below) does not automatically join the network — its credential is valid, but Network access here still needs to be turned on separately before it actually connects. Two deliberately independent checks: enrollment proves the device is trusted; this decides whether that specific station is currently allowed in.
Secure Enrollment
How a new PC joins the organization without anyone re-typing the license code: the new PC shows a QR code, an admin already connected via Stable Mobile scans it with the in-app scanner, and is shown exactly which station is asking to join before being asked to confirm with the admin PIN. Only after that confirmation does the new station actually receive the organization's credential.
Only approve this if you personally recognize the station and are expecting it right now — approving it gives that PC the same access as every other station in the organization.
If Require approval for brand-new stations is on, this PIN confirmation alone doesn't finish the job — the new station still won't appear on the network until its Network access is separately turned on in Station Access, above.
Push Retention
Controls how long a disconnected phone keeps receiving push notifications for messages relayed through another station before it's treated as having moved on. Organization-wide — changing it updates every station.
Turn it up if staff report missing messages after being briefly offline; turn it down if notifications are arriving so late they're no longer useful.
Station Label
The permanent name for this physical desk or PC — e.g. "Front Desk" or "Room 2" — set once during initial setup. Not the same as a person's display name, which anyone can change themselves at any time.
Locked after it's set, on purpose: it's also what keeps this station's own address and QR code stable across restarts. There's no admin override to rename it later — a station that needs a different label has to be set up fresh.
Diagnostics & Export History
Diagnostic Log (Account → Diagnostics, PIN required) — a timestamped record of connection issues, errors, and notable events, for this station alone or every station on the network at once. Use it when troubleshooting a specific reported problem, or when describing an issue to support.
Export History — downloads group chat plus this station's own private conversations as a backup file. Never anyone else's private conversations — each station only ever holds its own.
Manual Peer IP Advanced
A troubleshooting and fallback option, not something most networks ever need. For a station that automatic discovery genuinely can't find — most often a different subnet, VLAN, or a WiFi extender putting it on a separate address range — entering its IP address here tells this station to keep trying to reach it directly, including after a restart.
Only reach for this if a station you expect to see genuinely isn't appearing after a reasonable wait — discovery finding stations on its own is the normal case.

Display name
Can be changed once every 24 hours — helps catch accidental typos without letting names change back and forth constantly.
Status
Shown under your name to everyone — e.g. "In a meeting" or "Lunch until 2pm". "Online" doesn't always mean available.
Business name & logo
Sets the name and logo shown in this app's header. Syncs automatically to every other station and phone on the network — no need to set it again anywhere else.
Business name & logo
The business name and logo are changed from the Windows station directly, not from this device.

Backup identity
Save a personal code so you can still get in — recognized as yourself, not a stranger — if the station you usually use is ever unreachable. Save it now, while everything's working.
Admin PIN
Needed to remove or re-admit someone from the roster. Shared across every station on the network — set it once here.
Station label
This desktop's own permanent name — set once during setup and locked after that, since it's also what keeps this station's join link and QR code address stable across restarts and updates.
